omaha family photographer
capturing the mundane moments you’ll look back on with nostalgia
unhurried. organic. timeless. intimate. connection based imagery.
hi there, i’m lane
I’m an Omaha based family photographer. I believe that everybody has a unique story to tell and I’m dedicated to documenting photos that truly reflect your family. My approach is calm and unobtrusive to make sure you feel comfortable during your session.
I want to photograph everything. The wind in your hair, the giggles from tickle fights, the little hand grasping yours. Those are the moments I’m looking for. Those moments are the ones that will make you feel the photograph, even years later. They’re the ones that you want to remember about your life right now.
If you’re looking for a photographer who understands the beauty of connection and the importance of preserving memories, you’re in the right place.
when I’m not working you can find me;
reading a book, listening to ajr, working as a camp counselor at a summer camp, or enjoying a spiked lemonade at henry doorly zoo's 'late night at the zoo' event 😋

I'm the first to say I'm not the photographer for everyone. We're a good fit if you value photos that are one of a kind for your family, and want your life archived in an intentional and honest way (and maybe you also cuss a bit 😉)
Photos are more than just pictures, I'm here to document your legacy. In 20 years, I want your kids to look back at these photos and say, "yep, that was my life." Everyone likes the picture perfect fridge photo, but the pictures you'll show your grandkids are the ones that bring back good memories.

Ya know when you look at a photo of a couple from 100+ years ago, it's a little blurry because they moved while sitting for their portrait, so you get a glimpse into their silliness. Just a peek into what their life might've been like. I love that shit. When you think about what people were like in 1900 (and before), photos of stern looking people come to mind, in fancy stiff clothes. But every so often, you see a photo of the silliness. Of their connection. Of their love. Of their life.
That's what I aim to capture. Those stolen moments that you don't notice in the moment, but when looking back, you think, "That's who we are. That's our love. That's our life. Our love, our life, frozen in time, forever."

period.

popsicle drips on tshirts and grass stains on elbows,
skinned knees from playing and tired eyes from napping,
little boys and girls with big belly laughs,
these are a few of my favorite things
(to photograph 😉)
authentic,
candid, soulful,
genuine, honest.
